Welcome to the sixth form section of the new Beths website. Here you can find information on various aspects of life in Year 12 and 13 at our school.
We are have a sixth form that promotes academic excellence and supporting its students in going off to some of the best universities in the country, starting top level apprenticeships or entering the world of work. Around 85% of our students go to university at the end of Year 13, with a significant number of students going into courses such as medicine, law or PPE. We continue to use A levels, viewing them as a gold standard in KS5 education, allowing specialisation in subjects that truly interest those who study them, with significant depth and breadth within the subject area.
Beths promotes student leadership and extracurricular activity throughout both years. Through sport or the arts, students are encouraged to express themselves. There are many opportunities for student run activities to be set up, such as our Road Safety Ambassadors and the yearly Prom - which is organised almost solely by students, with guidance from staff members. Our prefect team is key to running the school, both day to day and at specific events. Furthermore, we work closely with local charities, raising money for a variety of causes with each house having a specific charity, and led by the house captain for their house.
Sixth Form is a time of enjoyment, growing up and hard work, and I, like many of my peers, have thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far.
