Welcome to the Beths Parents’ Association (PA) 

What we do: The PA is here to help fund facilities and equipment for your children that the school budget is unable to provide.  We raise funds through various activities such as Quiz Nights, selling refreshments at Parents’ evenings and concerts, Christmas and Summer raffles, monthly draw and own clothes day.  On average we raise £8,000 to £10,000 a year.

We have used these funds to buy equipment and bicycles for the Year 8 Camp, supply gym equipment, books for the Learning Resource Centre, timpani and various other instruments for the Music department and I-pads for the Art department.

Our annual general meeting (AGM) is held in October each year and we will be looking to fill our vacant Chair position by then.

Our meetings: We meet monthly (during term time) to discuss fundraising activities and requests from the school.  Meetings are always held in the school (usually the Conference Room) and start at 19.30 usually finishing around 21.15.  Here are the meeting dates for the first half of the school year:

Tuesday 11 September @ 19.30

Tuesday 9 October @ 19.00 as this is the AGM meeting too

Tuesday 13 November @ 19.00 (in the Conference Room)

Tuesday 11 December @ 19.30

We need your help:  the PA cannot function without the help of parents and carers.  So if you can spare some time to help serve refreshments or in any other way please let us know.  We are a friendly bunch so why not come along and join us, and we promise you can be as involved (or not!) as you like.

Our upcoming events:

Monthly draw:  Each month at the Parents' Association meeting, we draw our monthly prize winners.  We use a random number generator and select a first and second winner who receive £20 and £10 respectively.  Each quarter (September, December, March and June) we have an additional £50 winner. 

You've got to be in it to win it, so why not think about signing up?  The cost per number is £6 and there's no limit to the amount of numbers you can buy.

PA Quiz night:  Saturday 17 November at 19.30 in the school hall.  Come and join us for a fun night out and raise funds for our school at the same time.

Christmas draw:  Look out for tickets in your son/daughter’s bag around November.  Each ticket is just £1.
