History empowers out students to ask questions of the world around them. It stimulates and encourages their intellectual curiosity. As a department it is out aim to nurture this so that our students will become adults who are active, interested and can contribute to the world in which they live. The scheme of work has been developed to provide a varied range of time periods and events. Through this students become familial with concepts such as freedom, justice, democracy, capitalism, human rights, powers, authority and equality. This provides a intellectual foundation for students to develop their thoughts and understanding about the world around them.
