Summer Community Afternoon Tea
Last Friday, we hosted our last community afternoon tea of this academic year.
Guests were treated to a fish and chips lunch, just like being at the beach, as well as teas, coffees and cakes. They were served by our excellent Year 9 students and enjoyed talks by Year 10 students on their passions – poetry, technology and football.
Haaris engaged them in creating Haikus and set a competition for the best. The overall winner, whose Haiku we were very impressed with, went away with a summer-themed hamper, kindly donated by Morrisons in Welling.
James spoke of his love of building electronic things from planes to drones. He flew one of his drones for us and we were all in awe – What a skill!
