Coronavirus (COVID-19) – updates from the Headteacher

As we move into another week of isolation and into, what would have been the first week of the summer term, we hope that you are all continuing to cope with what is a huge change to our normal way of living.

Unfortunately, Covid-19 does not worry whether you’re rich or poor, living in the world of show-business or in Bexleyheath and we are now probably at a stage where many of us have lost a family member or friend, an old work colleague or acquaintance.  The hope is that, with the order to stay at home, the numbers of those becoming infected and those dying, will soon start to reduce and our lives will, gradually begin to be less restrictive.

However, for now we have to remain at home and try to continue to maintain a sense of perspective through these very strange times.  We are still at a point that we don’t know when schools will return and whether that will be during this summer term, or September or even beyond.

As we return to ‘school’ on Monday, it is helpful to get back into a structured day and staff have been asked to continue to set, check and assess work to enable students to be able to do this.
