Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Following the COBRA meeting on Thursday 12 March and the Prime Minister’s announcement, it is our intention to maintain as normal a routine for the school as possible.  We have a number of contingency plans based on Government advice, should they need to be put in place.

In the event of the Government deciding that schools should close, all students should now have been issued with details of where resources will be found and which learning platforms staff will use.  All of these details will be kept on the school’s website and updated frequently throughout any closure, should it be necessary.

Additionally, the Department for Education has launched a new helpline for staff, parents and young people to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education.  The helpline can be contacted as follows:  phone:  0800 046 8687, email:  DfE.coronavirushelpline@education.gov.uk.  Opening hours: 8.00am-6.00pm (Monday to Friday).
