Year 7 Intake for the Academic Year 2017/18 Appeals
The deadline for lodging appeals is Wednesday 29 March 2017. This form should be completed and returned to Beths Grammar School with any supporting evidence. When we have received the completed Appeals Form, the Appeals Timetable will apply, as shown below.
Any appeals submitted will be heard in accordance with the timescales set out below.
29 March 2017 is the deadline for lodging appeals against a decision not to offer a place at Beths Grammar School.
Appeals will be held up to 40 school days after the deadline. Appeallants will receive at least 10 days notice of their appeal hearing. Decision letters will be sent within five school days of the hearing wherever possible.
For late applicants appeals will be heard within 40 schools days of the deadline for lodging appeals - where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
In-Year and Sixth Form Appeals
In-Year appeals will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
For Post-16 appeals:
i) where the offer of a place would have been conditional on exam results, appeals must be heard within 30 school days of the confirmation of those results.
ii) where the offer of a place would not have been conditional on exam results, appeals must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals.
The School Appeals Office at the Borough will write to you with a date for your appeal. Any extra papers for the appeal should be with the School Appeals Section at least 7 working days before the appeal date otherwise the date may be delayed.
Decision letters will be sent within 5 working days of the hearing, wherever possible.
