The closing date for applications for students new to Beths is 4pm 31st January 2017.

All correspondence, including acknowledgement of your application and our subsequent decision, will be sent to you via email. Please therefore ensure you provide a valid, working email address, verify it as per the instructions you will receive and mark sixthform@beths.bexley.sch.uk and admin@beths.bexley.sch.uk as a "safe" sender.

Entry to the Sixth Form at Beths Grammar school is based on whether you have meet our entry requirements which are:

+ at least 7 GCSEs at grade A*- B, with the new GCSE grade 6 = B
+at least grade 5/C in both Mathematics and English Language at GCSE
+individual subject requirements as detailed in the Sixth Form Choices Booklet.

The seven GCSEs at grade B may also include other Level 2 equivalent qualifications (such as BTEC), however we will only count these once.

Decisions about our conditional offers will be based on predicted grades from your school. In the event of more students being predicted to meet out entry requirements than we have places available, over subscription criteria will be applied:

1. Applicants who are or have been looked after children.
2. For students with a sibling attending Beths Grammar School at the time of enrolment. (A sibling includes full, half, adopted and step brother or sister living at the same address.)
3. On the basis of proximity to the school measured by reference to the shortest radial distance (direct line distance between the applicant’s home address to Beths Grammar School’s east entrance in Hartford Road). In cases where parents live at different addresses, the home address is that at which the child resides for the greater part of the week.

Students not predicted to meet the School Entry Requirements in two or more Year 12 subjects, will not be made an offer. Additionally, students will not be made an offer where two or more of their subject choices do not match our subject blocking system.

All Year 12 students will study four A levels plus an enrichment activity. Student will apply for and be assigned to, an enrichment activity in September.

Before selecting your A level options, please read this document: Sixth Form Choices booklet to ensure that you have a good understanding of what the course involves, that the type of study suits your particular learning style and that you are predicted to meet the specific entry requirements. Note that for some subjects, students are required to meet more than one entry grade.
